About St. Paul's Lutheran Men in Mission
St. Paul's Lutheran Men meet on the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM to enjoy a dinner followed by a program and business. Programs include a variety of topics of interest to men.
In addition to participating in numerous projects and events throughout the year, two hugely successful community outreach events sponsored by the St. Paul's Lutheran Men include an annual Fish Fry and the Cruise'n Barbecue.
The fish fry, is held September is a favorite event, open to all members of the church and community who enjoy not only a great meal but also an outdoor-related program. Proceeds support St. Paul's Relay for Life team.
St. Paul's Cruise'n Barbecue, held the last Saturday in April draws an ever increasing number of friends and car enthusiasts. The day begins with a "Poker Cruise" through Rowan County followed by a car show that includes Port a Pit chicken, music, raffles, door prizes, ice cream and cake. Proceeds from the Cruise'n Barbecue support persons facing serious illness.
St. Paul's Men are associated with LCMC Lutheran Men whose mission is to worship God thorugh the Mission Loan Fund and the Mission Gift Fund. Through the "Buck a Month Club", St. Paul's men lead our congregation's support of LCMC Lutheran Men's Mision Loan Fund which provides interest free loans to small and mission congregations, for building purposes.
We invite all men of St. Paul's to join with us for this monthly evening of fellowship, sharing and concern for one another!
