Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC): an association of congregations and individuals who are: free in Christ; accountable to one another; rooted in the Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions; working together to fulfill Christ's Great Commission to go and make disciples of all nations.
Lutheran CORE is a coalition of pastors, lay people, congregations and reforming groups. Who seek to preserve within the Lutheran churches in North America the authority of the Word of God according to the Lutheran confessions. Their intention is to work with congregations, individuals, and other reform-minded groups for the renewal of churches.
The depiction of a sword with the book of Sacred Scpipture is the symbol for St. Paul. It has its origins in Saint Paul's Letter to the Ephesians (6:17), in which he exhorts the faithful to "...take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."
